I love to use acrylic paint in my pages but I wanted a more textured look. I recently got a bottle of gel medium and tried to mix equal parts of the medium with paint. The result is paint that goes on thick without sacrificing the color of the paint. I waould like to share with you a layout I made using gel medium and acrylic paint. You can see the texture at the edges of the layout. I also tried this for stamping and I loved the texture and dimension of the stamped image as compared to an image stamped with ink..jpg)

Layout for a friend
I am so honored and thrilled that Kristina Nicolai White spotted this layout and selected it as the featured layout at the members gallery of twopeas. I made this layout for my friend Arlene David. I used the Mother's Day kit of Scrap-n-crop and just added some bits and pieces from my stash. Arlene was a beautiful pregnant woman! We were all so envious of how pretty she looked even when she was just a few weeks due to giving birth. Here she is with her husband Doy.

We are still doing some Go-Green projects over at Prima so I decided to make a mother's day project using one of the packaging tin cans of Prima. This was so easy and quick to make. Just sharing a simple idea for a project which you can make for your mom or for yourself..jpg)
Happy Mother's Day!
And here is a layout I did of myself and Nicole using the new Morning Song papers from Prima. I wanted to make the layout look more childlike so I hand drew some clouds on the papers and cut them out. This was the featured layout at Twopeas last May 22. I was grinning from ear to ear when I saw it. A lot of times, the layouts that I'm not so crazy about are the ones that get noticed. .jpg)

I am very honored to be a guest designer for Scrap-Idees. This is a blog that features sketches and I enjoyed creating this layout for the blog....jpg)

I have been such a lousy blogger these past weeks and I am so sorry for not being able to catch up on everyone's blogs. I miss finding inspiration in the blogs. I just have so much work now with our events business that my days seem to keep getting shorter and shorter.
Anyway I just hope everybody is doing great.
I'm sharing a few layouts I made with the May kit of Badgirls. We worked with a lot of Prima Papers and American Crafts products.

I made this layout for my friend Maybelle Ngo. These are pictures of her son Gabriel with an "Ouchie". The star was stamped using the Prima Build-a-Frame stamp and I added 7 Gypsies rub-ons. Papers are from the new Dude Line of Prima.

Bits and Pieces

This was so much fun to do! I always keep extra cut-outs of patterned papers in a small box. I mean, I went through the trouble of cutting them so I better keep them and use them - right? For this layout, I just grabbed the bits of paper I have collected in that box and created a collage. The only paper here that was not from my scraps is the background cardstock.

Prima is having a "Go Green" feature over at the blog. We are trying to create projects from the packaging materials. Here is what I did with the Painterly Petals container. I loved that it came with a black and white printed backing paper so I used that for the background. Next, the flowers were held by a plastic container that was slightly lifted from the box. I used these as holders for my pictures. I just added some flowers and crystals..jpg)
Here is a layout featuring Urban Cosmos papers and the new Crystal Centers..jpg)
Here is one of my husband's aunt and niece. I used the new Tea and Silk papers..jpg)
And this one is a quick and fun page I did for our Disney album. The papers are the paintables and I just added the rub-ons of Daisy D's..jpg)

I have not been able to update this blog and I have not been able to blog hop either for quite some time now. I have been caught up with work. We are doing a business/ franchising expo and it is pretty tough to put together. Anyway, I still got to crop - YAY! Some of the girls at badgirlskits had some challenges for the weekend crop and I managed to create a few quick pages. Here are some...

And this is my challenge- to include product merchandise in your layout. I love the postcards and tags from Starbucks and wanted to do something with it. So here goes...
